What is life like at Fairway Gardens
At Fairways Gardens, the resort-style amenities and a supportive community, create a holiday-like experience every day. Enjoy Café Zen, our in house café, which offers great coffee, snacks, breakfast and lunches as well as having access to hairdressers and masseuse onsite.
Fairway Gardens offers modern, over 50s independent living, set in our beautifully landscaped gardens. Each of our homes is self-contained, new builds with 2 or 3 bedrooms, fenced homes, with garages and self-contained gardens.
How much will it cost to move into Fairway Gardens?
Please enquire with our Lifestyle Village Coordinator. You’ll be surprised to learn that the average cost of a house at our villages is extremely affordable. Many people find they can downsize to a home at Fairway Gardens after selling their existing home.
Are there ongoing costs?
Unlike some retirement villages, we do not charge an administration fees, municipal rates or strata levies, saving you money each year. We charge a monthly fee which includes ongoing maintenance of your home, property insurance and use of all facilities onsite.
What’s the difference between a “lifestyle” and a “retirement” village?
When it comes to over 50s communities, there are two main options available – retirement villages and lifestyle villages. Both generally offer communal facilities, enhanced security features, opportunities for socialising, low-maintenance accommodation, and a host of other lifestyle benefits, they are often thought of as the same thing – but there are some very important differences between the two.
If you choose to live in a lifestyle village, your legal rights, contractual obligations and the fees you pay are different from those of a retirement village resident.
We encourage you to speak to your family and friends about your decision to move into Fairway Gardens. Our friendly Lifestyle Village Coordinator is knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have. We also highly recommend you seek financial and/or legal advice about this decision.
Do I own my own home?
Yes, you own your home. We own the land on which it’s built and charge a small weekly fee, which also covers all your rates and property insurance.
Am I able to have my family and friends come and stay with me?
Yes, of course! Your house is your home. Family and friends are welcome to visit whenever you’d like them to. They are also welcome to use all of the facilities while they are here.
Are pets allowed at Fairway Gardens?
Fairway Gardens is pet friendly. Pets are subject to approval from our Lifestyle Village Coordinator and provided they meet a few reasonable conditions covering their ongoing care and management. Our Lifestyle Village Coordinator is more than happy to talk to you about these conditions.
Is there space for my car and/or caravan?
Yes, at Fairway Gardens each home has its own car space where you can keep your vehicle. We also have some caravan storage spaces available.
Can I customise my home?
Yes, you are welcome to make changes to your home subject to approval from NVC Group.
